George is a Partner in the Sport, Media and Entertainment practice. He has a track record of recruiting board and executive talent into many of the sector’s most innovative organisations. He works on a global remit and has a particular specialism in the sports industry.

My story

Like many, I have always had a strong interest in sport and media, which ultimately led me to pursue a career in the sector. This has involved working in both executive search (as a founding member of the Odgers Berndtson Sports practice) and business development (for Nielsen’s London 2012 team).

I have a real passion for Asia and have been lucky enough to have travelled to a number of different countries, including when I worked as a teacher in Pakistan.

My focus

Working across media, sport and entertainment, I specialise in partnering with clients to identify exceptional talent that transforms their businesses. Our sector faces significant and rapid change on a global scale; I see it as my role to ensure that our clients stay well ahead of the game.

My motivation

Helping clients’ businesses flourish, grow and evolve through acquiring great talent is what motivates me. For me, a successful placement goes well beyond the initial search – it’s also about working closely with the placed candidate and client to ensure long-term success.
