My story
I studied psychology and law at the University of the Witwatersrand and after graduating I worked in both the legal and financial sectors. Before joining Savannah in 2022 I gained valuable experience working for Allan Gray (a well-regarded South African investment manager). While working as a skills coach and trainer, with predominantly young graduates, I learnt the necessity of discovering great talent early on and setting them up for career success. As a coach a knowledge of, and instinct for, psychology is crucial; and at Savannah I aim to channel this to help clients achieve their company objectives and candidates find career fulfillment. Much of my work experience has centered on client service, including research and analysis, which helps me understand and meet client and candidate needs.
My focus
I am a member of the newly created and growing South African research branch of Savannah. As I am new to executive search my aim is to gain industry knowledge, understand our clients’ business and talent needs and master finding great candidates, across multiple practices. I am also focused on enabling Savannah to achieve success with their South African arm, so that Savannah continues to meet the ever-evolving leadership and talent needs of our clients.
My motivation
So much of our lives, time and sense of purpose is determined by the jobs we hold, being able to place people in positions where they are valued and fulfilled is my motivation. As a curious person, I also enjoy discovering who makes an industry and organisation tick.
Why I like working at Savannah
