Melanie is an Executive Assistant for the HR Practice at Savannah Group.

My story

My career started in Mental Health Nursing where I obtained my degree as a Mental Health Nurse. After a short stint in nursing, I realised it wasn’t quite the right fit for me. In 2005 it became apparent how much I still wanted to use my skills to help people, so I decided to try my hand at being a Personal Assistant. Over the years I worked my way up to Executive Assistant working in various industries but as soon I started working in the Executive search world, I knew I wouldn’t want to work in any other industry. Two companies and lots of knowledge and experience later I have been lucky enough to join Savannah!

My focus

My focus is supporting Naomi Barton with diary management and business development. I also act as one of the project coordinators and support for assignments from start to finish in the HR Practice.

My motivation

I really enjoy the fast-paced environment and the sense of achievement when an assignment has been completed. I really like the interaction and involvement I have with clients and candidates.
