After graduating with a Master’s degree in Nutrition, I spent five years in Australia, much of which was spent working for an outback work organisation. Based on a cattle station in outback Queensland, we hosted participants from all over the world for week-long farm training programmes – teaching them the tricks of the trade before placing them into jobs on farms all over Australia. After returning to the UK in 2014, I soon found Savannah and was lucky enough to be offered the opportunity to join the Interim Management team.
I work as a researcher within the interim management practice here at Savannah. I handle a broad range of appointments across all functions for clients ranging from SMEs to FTSE 100 businesses. Being responsible for our network of high-calibre interim executives, I provide intelligence that is essential to our candidate search process in order to ensure that our clients’ needs are met efficiently.
As our candidates know all too well, one of the keys to success in interim is in the strength of the relationships that are formed, and it is this aspect that motivates me most in my role. I really enjoy getting to know our interims and it’s those close relationships that allow us to ensure our clients’ needs are met effectively.
What I really love about my role is the fast-paced nature of interim. Working across all functions and sectors means that my role is also really varied – I can be searching for a Marketing Director for a globally renowned retail brand one day, and then a CFO for a private equity-backed technology company the next.
Why I like working at Savannah
Working for Savannah is an exciting opportunity to be part of an independent organisation that offers the benefits of a global executive search firm while maintaining the dynamic and tailored approach of a smaller boutique. With our executive search and interim management arms working in close collaboration, we are able to offer our clients deep expertise across a diverse range of sectors and functions.
