My story
My first experience in the recruitment industry was a long time ago now: a temporary holiday job while studying for A levels. Many years later, I joined a boutique executive research consultancy working with both search consultancies and corporate clients.
I have a broad background in the search industry, being a generalist research consultant for many years, and then spending nine years focused on the industrial sector.
My focus
I moved into our Interim practice in 2015 to lead and grow the research function. I also manage our research resource across the Search practice.
Listening to people is important – listening to candidates, listening to clients, and taking time to work with both for the best outcome. Within the Research team, we pride ourselves in following a truly thorough process in searching for the very best candidates. We add value to our clients by delivering a professional, comprehensive search, conferring with all stakeholders along the way to ensure the best outcome.
My motivation
I am possibly a bit of a perfectionist – but that’s a good thing to ensure you deliver the best job possible. Each time you place an outstanding candidate into a client’s organisation it is a great feeling, and that is what drives most of us. Each day is different, each assignment varies and each one is a new challenge!
After all these years, I still find it enormously rewarding to work with clients and candidates alike, finding exactly the right person for a client’s specific needs. It is important to me to build solid, trusting relationships, and for both clients and candidates to know that we will always go that extra mile.
