My story
Having explored careers in the Military, Finance, and Advertising/PR, I met the founders of a fast-growth Executive Search firm who persuaded me to join them. This became an amazing training ground, working for the first 3-4 years in research roles as I begun to develop expertise in digital and technology leadership across a variety of sectors. I went on to co-found a firm (with a Senior Partner) to specialise exclusively in this niche, expanding rapidly and internationally with offices in the UK and the US, leading ultimately to a successful exit. I was eager to remain in the digital and technology leadership space and spent subsequent years leading the growth of well established but traditional global Executive Search organisations in this domain who had been slow to adapt.
In 2022, I was honoured to join Savannah Group, an organisation whose founders and values I had known and admired for well over a decade. Joining to lead their largest cross-sector practice: “Digital and Technology Leadership”, I inherited and further expanded a remarkable team, recognised as the leading practice among boutique Executive Search firms in this area. I am energised by the future and the potential we have to shape this dynamic field.
My focus
Since the start of my career, I’ve recognised that digital disruption, data, and technology-driven transformations are reshaping every industry, creating unparalleled opportunities for agile organisations and severe consequences for those unable or unwilling to adapt. For the past 15 years, I’ve been at the forefront of this shift, guiding organisations through the complexities of leadership in the most exciting, fast-paced area of business today. As an equity partner of Savannah, I wear 3 hats:
1. Leading Savannah’s Digital & Technology Leadership Practice. This is the firm’s foundation and our largest team working cross-sector as functional experts. We specialise in appointing senior technology and digital executives — CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, CDOs, CPOs — as well as next-generation leaders driving transformation, growth, and innovation across global markets. Under my leadership, the team partners with clients to build out technology leadership benches at CxO, VP and Director levels, delivering mandates across industries and geographies.
2. Leadership of Savannah’s strategic TMT relationships. I oversee key relationships with boards, investors, and executive teams in the Technology, Media, and Telecoms space. I also advise on critical leadership appointments, succession planning, and organisational design, helping high-growth scaleups and global enterprises secure leaders equipped to navigate disruption and deliver sustained performance.
3. I champion the integration of data and technology into talent strategy and play a leading role in the deployment of Savannah’s proprietary talent intelligence platform, MapX, alongside our wider Talent Intelligence services. These enable clients to make informed hiring decisions through real-time market insights, analytics, and competitor benchmarking.
My motivation
What drives me most is collaborating with brilliant teams (colleagues and clients working in partnership) who share a set of core values. We work across a diverse, global client base at various stages of maturity which keeps me intellectually challenged and fresh. It’s a privilege to delve deeply into the intricacies of our clients’ operations, understanding their growth drivers, challenges, and leadership dynamics. I invest significant time to ensure a deep understanding of each organisation’s unique needs, allowing me to assess not just technical competencies but also cultural fit—ensuring a lasting impact for both clients and candidates. Building trusted, long-term relationships with clients is my ultimate goal. I am proud to have earned the trust of many organisations and their Boards, becoming their “trusted advisor of choice.”
